 Lynn Strauss - Club Manager

Welcome to Redline! I have the priviledge of leading this great group of Triathletes. My triathlon journey started eight years ago sheerly by chance as i was training by myself in the little community of Elkhart Lake I had the honor of meeting two fellow triathletes who were interested in starting a club .. Hence Redline Tri Club was established! Since then i have had the opportunity to race all different distances in different places. My favorite is the Ironman, not because it is the hardest but because it truely is a life lesson that is a paralell to life in so many ways.  One of the best attributes of our group is that we have so many amazing members with diverse backgrounds that have tons of fun in what we do as we share a common interest. Redline is my extended family and has become a part of who i am. I encourage you to check out our group and see what we are all about.

Favorite Race : Wisconsin Ironman
Favorite Club Activity - Elkhart Lake Early Morning Swims - Summer
Favorite Quote: To Tri is to Live
Favorite Tip: Recovery... your fourth discipline... important

Jim Fahrbach - Director of Finance

I am known as being obsessively addicted to the Sport of Triathlon.  I was part of the original organizing group for the club.  Way “back then” we were discussing “Joining the Foxes in Appleton”, “Joining the Milwaukee Wisconsin Triathlon group or starting our own group.  We decided on starting our own group at a meeting on Hans Schlecht building site for his new home.

My greatest feeling of accomplishment today is seeing new members (Newbie’s) mature and develop into successful athletes.  It is amazing that after several triathlons, a “Brotherhood” develops amongst fellow triathletes, a sense of “Family.”

I never participated in sports in High School or college.  I was known as a “Book Worm.”  I started running in 1980 after realizing my body weight of 200 pounds was too much and had to seek a change in life style.  My first marathon was Chicago.  I remember it well.  I grew a full face beard to commit myself to finishing the event and my daughter Tami refused to give me a good night kiss till I shaved it off.
